I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Bogotá has nearly 50 fully vegan restaurants dotted around the city. The majority of which are located in the Chapinero area, as well as a handful in La Candelaria (a bit of a tourist hot spot).
I spent a month in the city eating my way round as many of the 100% vegan food spots as possible, and these are the places that came out on top!
There is a real mix of food in this list, from high-end hotel eating to tacos, burgers, and menu del días. You really won’t go hungry as a vegan in Bogotá.
Heading to Medellín also? Check out my favourite 100% vegan food spots in Medellín, Colombia.

Casa Lelyte
- Location: Hotel Casa Lélyté, Chapinero
My absolute favourite spot in Bogotá is Casa Lėlytė. I wasn’t expecting to find a higher-end vegan dining experience in Colombia, but here it is!
The food is packed full of flavours and the dishes are inventive, drawing upon a mixture of cuisines, with ties to their Colombian roots.
The drinks list is also perfect for a fancy dinner date, or a solo date (as I did!) But obviously, with the quality of the food, there is a higher price point than your average menu del día in the city. That being said, the prices were reasonable and cheaper than I expected.

NATIVA
- Location: La Candelaria
For a truly local vegan dining experience, I recommend trying out NATIVA in La Candelaria. The food is beautiful, as are the people who work in the restaurant. It has a nice community feel to it, and I was made to feel welcome.
The dishes are well flavoured, and I was even served a spicy salsa. Which, in my experience, is pretty rare in Colombia. Everything was cooked to perfection, including the crispy plantain, arepa and pesto mushrooms.
They also have a well-stocked shop at the front of the restaurant with a selection of vegan foods, gifts, and local products.

Dolce Vegan Bakery
- Location: Delivery only
I have a big sweet tooth, and typically I’m left feeling underwhelmed by the vegan sweet options when travelling (I am truly spoilt in London). But, I must say, the cookies at Dolce Vegan Bakery are out of this world.
They have the perfect chew and with just the right amount of sweetness. Plus, they are filled with a wonderfully gooey centre.
They come in a variety of flavours, with my favourite being the Peanut Butter and Oreo cookie, and the Lemon Pie cookie coming a close second.

Stankov
Sometimes you can’t beat junk food, particularly a good burger and fries. Thankfully, the burgers at Stankov are some of the best I’ve had in Latin America.
They use good quality ingredients, like their burger bun, which doesn’t fall apart when eating (yay) and the vegan protein sources. I was a little obsessed with their crispy vegan chicken, but their vegan beef burger is also amazing.
Plus, they are on Rappi and can be ordered as part of their ‘Turbo’ service in certain areas. I was able to get a delivery to my door within 10 minutes!
I also tried Cero Pollito, another vegan fast food chain specialising in vegan chicken, but found it too doughy. Plus, I got VERY sick after eating one of their bowls, which contained lettuce.

La Victoria
- Location: Chapinero
There are two great vegan Mexican spots in Bogotá, my favourite being La Victoria. The other is Segundo Piso, which is located above PIANTA (mentioned below).
Don’t get me wrong, these tacos aren’t anywhere near as good as the vegan tacos in Mexico, but we can’t have everything! They are still pretty tasty and will fulfil those sneaky taco cravings.
They use a variety of fillings, mostly mushroom-based, and my favourite has to be their vegan chicharrón made with crispy mushrooms. I just wish they included more vegan protein sources.

PIANTA
- Location: Chapinero
PIANTA is a vegan Italian restaurant located in Chapinero. It is slightly more upmarket than most other vegan restaurants in the area, with a pretty decent wine list, so also a great spot for date night or a solo night out.
The flavours are pretty decent, and the portion sizing was just right for me. Despite reviews saying portions were small.
I really enjoyed their gnocchi dish, which was really cheesy and had delicious bits of crispy vegan chicken inside. It did need a glass of white wine to help it go down though, as it was quite rich!
PIANTA also has a sister restaurant called Segundo Piso (a vegan Mexican spot), which is located upstairs. Although I was able to choose from either menu when sitting in PIANTA.

La Cocinita Verde
- Location: Chapinero
La Cocinita Verde is a great spot to pick up an affordable and healthy vegan menu del día. The portion sizes are incredibly generous, I wasn’t able to finish it!
The flavours are good. Nothing exciting, but wholesome and tasty nonetheless. The soup was also jam-packed full of vegan protein sources, including chickpeas and crispy seitan.
They also offer an a la carte menu with dishes like burgers and bowls.

ChapiYork
- Location: Chapinero
ChapiYork is another great spot for enjoying a vegan menu del día. But they also offer a menu of burgers and other vegan fast foods.
I particularly enjoyed the vegan protein source on their menu del día, which I believe was made from soy. This felt more typically Colombian, with a chunk of meat served with sauce and rice.
It is also really reasonably priced and full of healthy ingredients, making it one of my favourite spots for a quick lunch in between work.

Frambuesa Pasteleria Vegan
- Location: Chapinero
Bogotá is also home to a fully vegan bakery, Frambuesa Pasteleria Vegan. They make and sell a variety of cakes, cookies, pastries and also offer a savoury menu with burgers and other fast food.
I was really happy to find they have vegan croissants. They weren’t the best I’ve had, but still tasty!
They have a good selection of gluten-free baked goods also.

Herbivoro Cocina Vegana
- Location: Chapinero
Herbívoro Cocina Vegana is a vegan cafe and marketplace with a menu packed full of healthy plant-based dishes. They are open in the mornings, meaning you can get a filling breakfast in before a day of exploring the city.
Their menu includes soups, breakfast, pizza, salads, desserts, and much more. It is all pretty wholesome and filling. I didn’t find the flavours particularly exciting, but it felt like good quality.
You can also pick up a few items from their small market located inside the shop.

MARVELOUS
- Location: La Candelaria
MARVELOUS is another vegan restaurant located in La Candelaria. It is nearby to all the tourist hotspots in the area, so it is a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat and to rest your legs.
They offer a menu del día and a variety of pastries. The menu del día is filling, not packed full of flavour like others I’ve had, but it was healthy and contained both a good mix of veg and some vegan protein. Mine had seitan, but this will change each day.
The spot itself is beautiful, and the staff really lovely!
